NigunLeh - Musical Youth Ensemble of Nigun Halev
“The nigun uplifts the soul and warms the young heart,
resonating through the fresh sounds of the NigunLeh ensemble,
drawing from it threads of love, kindness, perseverance, and giving.”
The NigunLeh ensemble was founded by the Nigun Halev community in 2014 for 20 boys and girls from the community. They play, sing, and perform together under the musical direction and arrangements of Amir Stoller.
NigunLeh was created as an experiential creative activity for teenagers,
with the expectation that their activity would also contribute greatly to the community, the residents of the Emek, and the wider Israeli public.
The ensemble regularly performs at community events, Shabbat gatherings, and holidays across the Emek.
In recent years, it has produced two major programs:
-
A concert of Israeli songs for Jewish communities and summer camps in the United States
-
A musical adaptation of The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry
The ensemble performs original melodies by Amir Stoller and directed by Yotam Kallo Livneh. The musical was performed four times across the Emek and once at Tzevetza Hall, with all proceeds donated to the Eliplat Association for refugee children.
Recently, members of NigunLeh joined the community’s regular musicians for Shabbat and holiday services, expanding their activity further.
The ensemble operates with the support of the parents of the musicians and is managed by a staff team from the parents’ group. The active parents’ circle assists in the success and implementation of the project.
Rehearsals take place every Friday (3 hours), and participation requires a fee.
