Mutual Responsibility
The Nigun Halev community works toward social repair, deepening kindness between people, loving the stranger, and caring for those in need with an outstretched hand.
Over the years, the community has led various projects and initiatives for mutual responsibility and acts of kindness, initiated by members of the community.
The community encourages social justice initiatives and community-based actions.
Initiatives and Social Projects
“Panu LeShalom” Team and Good Neighbor Activities
We live in one of the most diverse and interesting regions of Israel.
In our area, people of all backgrounds live together – Jews and Arabs, Christians, Muslims, and Druze, urban and rural residents.
Good neighborly relations are a top value for us.
We hold meetings and activities throughout the year, such as “Sukat Shalom”, family cooking and gathering events.
Through these activities, we meet our Arab neighbors and together:
-
Learn
-
Sing
-
Cook
-
Bring families and children together
Volunteering with the Elifelet Association -
For Refugee Children
Several years ago, a connection was established with the Elifelet Association – For Refugee Children, which works for the welfare of refugee and asylum-seeking children in South Tel Aviv.
The association provides education, welfare, and food for hundreds of highly vulnerable children.
Over the years, the community has organized volunteer days with the children and arranged fun activities for them during the summer vacation.
Recently, we held a fundraising performance at Tzevetza, Tel Aviv, with all proceeds dedicated to the association.
The performance included The Little Prince, an original musical by the NigunLeh ensemble, created by Amir Stoller. A thank you letter from Elifelet.
Hosting Youth from Na’aleh in Nahalal
Over the years, families in the community have hosted youth from Na’aleh (immigrant youth before or without parents) who arrive at the boarding school in Nahalal to start their lives as Israelis.
We are happy to host them and provide a warm home where they feel at home
